Club Coaching
All children wishing to develop at cricket need to join a club. A list of clubs is available on the contact page. Clubs provide the opportunity to put into practice the skills being learnt in matches and coaching.

District Coaching
Clubs and schools are asked to nominate the best players for district squad trials which take place over the closed season during winter. Selectors will also watch junior matches and make recommendations to the district squad managers on players who are performing at a particularly high level. District squad coaching is held indoors during winter and at clubs during the summer. Matches are also arranged between different districts to increase the standard of cricket being played by the individual players.

District Squad Coaching is by invitation only

Derbyshire County Teams
District players who continue to perform at the highest level are nominated by the District squad managers for trials for the County teams. Following trials successful players join the county squad for coaching and are selected on merit for county matches all over the country.
